新华社报道，中共中央政治局常委、国务院总理李强12月23日赴甘肃、青海地震灾区检查指导受灾群众过冬安置和灾后恢复重建等工作。
12月18日，甘肃省临夏积石山县发生6.2级地震。
- 甘肃省通报，截至12月22日8时，积石山6.2级地震已造成甘肃117人遇难，781人受伤。现场排查搜救工作已经结束，经反复核查确认无失联人员，工作重心正全面转向受伤群众救治和受灾群众安置。
- 青海省通报，截至12月21日22时，地震累计造成海东市31人遇难、3人失联。
新华社报道显示，李强此行关注两个重点：受灾群众过冬安置和灾后恢复重建。
